Location is perfect. Price is good ($143.00/nt) for crowded Charleston in July. Almost across from the market on Meeting St, 1 block from CHarleston Place if you want to have a drink and music in the evening. Parking across the street a little dicy but $12.00 a day not bad. Rooms are "quaint", with 4 poster beds, canopy on each, smaller than average but OK. Breakfast offerings more than just continental with eggs, bacon, bagels, cereal etc. Afternoon cocktails ok. Ice Cold lemonade, sweet tea and water served all day in the "lobby". Would suggest they brighten the lobby up with some more lamps or something as the first inpression is not great. Young girl at desk fairly disinterested. Older lady in the am and during the day taking care of the breakfast and cold drinks seems angry all the time. Lovely quiet courtyard, nice for reading a book. Look at the pictures on their website. WOuld go back because of location and price and be sure to get a room on 2nd floor ....
