Pearlz delivers fresh seafood, the oysters are very good, there is an excellent selection, and we absolutely got what we expected. The feeling in Pearlz for us was one of catering to tourists which isn't a bad thing, and has made them successful and consistent, but not unique in Charleston. The prices were consistent with East Bay restaurants, high.
We enjoyed our meals and again the freshness was excellent. The service was average at best. In most cities this would be an excellent restaurant, but in Charleston there are too many other restaurants that offer the same fare and very good might be overstating it.
