Pearlz is a good choice for oysters and drinks. A typical oyster bar--noisy but comfortable. Good service. Get there early to avoid a wait.

I enjoyed my dinner. Even though I was alone, the bar had a nice mix of tourists and locals. The bartenders made great recommendations as did the locals.

This is definitely a loud bar , almost reminded me of just a sports bar, that serves LOTS of oysters. Choice for seating was limited, even at 3:30pm as it is very popular, and the 4 or 5 booths were taken, then there is seating at the window, facing out toward the street, or at the long thin table right behind the people seated at the bar, sitting with everyone else at this family style table. We were seated at this table, across from each other. I ordered the New England lobster roll and the corn fritters. My lobster roll, although really stuffed with alot of chunk lobster, really didn't have alot of taste. I added extra salt, and some lemon juice, but it didn't help alot, unfortunately. I was also fairly disappointed with the corn fritters, because the meal came with hush puppies, and they were a little too greasy for me, but the corn fritters tasted just like the hush puppies with MAYBE only 3 or 4 kernels of corn added into each fritter. It also came with , (tasted like homemade) potato chips, spiced, and they were VERY good. Hubby ordered the fish and chips, and his was quite good- the fish had a nice thickness, nice taste, and the batter on it was super crispy (although again very greasy), same chips, very good. We weren't in the mood for oysters, and, again, it IS an oyster bar, and alot of people were ordering them, so if you really love oysters, and want a very relaxed , (albeit loud) atomsphere, bar, this would be the place.

Thank loving-bears
