It is almost unfair to single out a single church in this city filled with architectural delights. Still, this church location places it in close proximity to numerous other sightseeing spots and it is really an impressive historical structure. I did not visit the cemetery, but saw some very interesting gravestones through the fence.

Beautiful structure on the church. Very pictorial! The surrounding cemeteries are so unique & wonderfully landscaped. What we thought was so amazing was the epitaphs on the tombstones. They spoke volumes of their love of God & country.

Beautiful church. The people there know a lot about the history of the church and the surrounding area. It is a really spiritual experience.

We started off touring Historic Charleston by a carriage ride with Palmetto Carriage Rides. Our driver was very knowledgable. As we were passing one of the many churches, she informed us that if the gates or doors of the church were open you were welcome to go in to visit. Same applied for the graveyards. After our carriage ride we started to walk around Charleston. St. Philip's gate was open. So entered the huge wooden doors. The lady that presented information about the church was busy with other visitors as we entered. Inside was just as beautiful as the outside. When the lady finished she came and gave us history lesson about the church. It was very interesting. She was very sweet, nice, and informative.

The graveyard is facinating. You can just wander through looking at the gravestones. The church itself was closed so we couldn't look in but the graveyard was worth the wander.
