“Great food!”
Reviewed August 15, 2014 via mobile

Nice dinner, tried to sit outside but flies were awful! The food was awesome! Service was fine! But never did get offered a desert menu! Reasonable prices!

“Great Italian away from Tourists”
Reviewed August 14, 2014

If you want to go where the locals go for great Italian, this is for you. It's not far from the downtown Charleston scene, but still far enough off the beaten track that tourists don't venture here. This is a local favorite spot. If you go in the height of summer heat and cannot sit outside, be prepared for a little tight seating inside. But even so, we did not feel too crowded. Food was excellent, service superb, wine list a little brief but if you like Italian wines, you will surely find something you like. Prices for food and drink seemed very reasonable for quality and quantity of food. Well run family operation.

“Quality at a Good Price”
Reviewed August 13, 2014

This place a is a little out of the main shopping areas. You almost need a recommendation, which we received from the hotel concierge, to end up here. This will not be your best meal in Charleston, but it's a great value. The atmosphere is good, but not great on the back patio. This has a local kind of feel to it. Give it a try if you've burned through your budget and your're still looking for something you'll actually remember.

“Average food and overpriced”
Reviewed August 7, 2014

We went with a party of 5. Nice ambiance and good service. Appetizers were only OK. The "special" duck prosciutto appetizer tasted like a bologna and cheese sandwich. Other appetizers were average tastewise and a little small. The soup special was decent. Salads were good. Main courses were average...the special lamb/pappardelle was nothing special. Desserts were OK. $35.00 for a carafe of house wine! Our total with tip was about $320.00 I did not think that it was worth the money.
