We had a wonderful time experiencing this great attraction. It kept our daughter entertained for hours. There were so many different activities she could not possibly get bored!

“Had a great time”
Reviewed October 8, 2009

My family had a wonderful time in Charleston. We enjoyed the Children's muesum. If you go to the visitor center you can get a free pass for a child with adult purchase.

“great hands-on museum for young children!”
Reviewed September 2, 2009

We visited this museum today with a 6 month old and a 4 year old. the 4 year old had an absolute blast. She cried when we left. There is even a small activity room for infants/young toddlers in the back. It is a small museum but it cost only 21.00 for 2 adults and our 4 year old (infant free) so what can you expect. Really - size doesn't matter - it is the activities and fun that can be had that do. Clearly, this museum supplied my children with an afternoon of fun and laughter on an otherwise windy and rainy day in Charleston.

“The best place for kids in Charleston”
Reviewed April 3, 2009

We visited this museum today and my 2 year old daughter had the time of her life! Her favorite attraction was the water exhibit. There are little boats to float around on a water table. Kids can interact with a working "dam", waterfalls, rain storm, and electricity in the water exhibit. There was a castle exhibit, shrimp boat, a really cool "Publix" grocery store complete with check out and plastic groceries, and they even had play time in front of the museum with sidewalk chalk, bubbles, and hula hoops. My only complaint was that all of their advertisements around the city say children under 3 get in free, but the employee we bought our tickets from advised us any children over 1 year old are full price. Luckily, we were able to pick up a BOGO coupon in the pamphlets from our hotel. We really enjoyed the art room where tons of art supplies are available for the kids to create and display their own artwork. Worth every penny to get in!

“Absolutely a must for kids!”
Reviewed September 17, 2007

If the little ones are getting bored with all the grown-up historical tours and such, this is a great place to take them for kid-friendly fun. My daughter absolutely loved this and is still talking about it weeks later. It is all hands-on and kid sized. My only reservation would be that if you have trouble standing for extended periods, you'll need to go when crowds are low, because seating is limited. Also, there are coupons available (for one FREE admission - $7, the best coupon so far) in the Visitor's Center which is practically on top of the Children's Museum (and also a great place to park.) We live here so we're going to invest in a season pass, this is REALLY worth the trip!
