Julie, the innkeeper, provided a delicious breakfast each morning in the refrig. It worked out great. We could eat whenever we wanted. She even accommodated our dietary restrictions. There was more than enough breakfast in that little refrig to keep us going until lunch. The rooms were clean, attractive and comfortable. The B&B is within easy walking distance of great restaurants and sights.

My brother and I stayed in the quarters for a couple of days. Julie, our hostess pays such attention to detail that our visit was worry free and perfect. The location is within easy walking distance of downtown, and many of the great local restaurants. A great place to relax, you will never want to leave.

Staying at 21 East Battery was a great choice. We stayed in the Quarters for 3 days as a part of the Town and Country package with Middleton Place Inn. The Quarters is a completely private 2 story residence with 2 bedrooms (one of which is closed off if only booked for one couple). The bathroom is huge and the bedroom is large and sunny. The downstairs has a gas fireplace that is very nice on cool spring evenings. The location is great, right on the river and just a 10 minute walk from the downtown area. Julie takes amazing care of her guests and we looked forward to her breakfast creations each day!
Cons: (These wouldn't deter me from coming back) The owners should invest in a new bed as the current one sags a lot in the middle. Hanging out in the living area isn't very comfortable on the small couch and table, but with the location in the heart of Charleston I guess that's not very important.

What a fabulous place to stay!! Lovely hostess who knows how to cook! We highly recommend anyone visiting Charleston to make it a point to stay here. A little pricey but well worth it! Would also like to recommend Tsunami restaurant which is well within walking distance for dinner. The food was fantastic!

Our family of 3 (2 adults and teenage daughter) stayed in the Quarters for 4 nights. Spotless, beautifully furnished accommodations. Julie provided more food than we could eat even saving some for snacking on later in the day. :) Enjoyed the free tour of the attached mansion. We found we could easily walk to most of the restaurants we wanted to visit but it was also easy to drive around and find our way back. Perfect home away from home!
