We totally enjoyed our stay at 21 East Battery. The accomodations were spacious and clean. The breakfasts were delicious and plentiful. Julie was more than gracious. We will absolutely reccommend this B&B to friends and family looking for Charleston accomodations.

We have spent many wonderful trips to Charleston and have just now discovered 21 East Battery B&B. The location is perfect and historic. So much history has occurred from this location. The rooms for the two couples were great. There was a large sitting room downstairs with two large bedrooms and bathrooms upstairs. Julie the hostess was wonderful. Her quiche breakfasts were to die for. Having off street parking was a great perk. I cannot imagine staying anywhere else after this experience.

My sisters and I booked the servants' quarters apartment in the lovely Edmonston-Alston mansion on the Battery and had the time of our lives. Extremely unique accommodations, simply gorgeous location, absolutely delicous breakfast delights, even the epitome of the perfect hostess in Julie, the innkeeper.........a heavenly time was had, for sure. Impossible to think of a negative thing to say except that our experience there made it very hard to leave!

Not your traditional B&B. Breakfast is stocked in your room the evening before so you can eat at your leisure. The rooms are spacious. The innkeeper is awesome, she cooks your food and provides fresh fruit, juice and water for your 'fridge. This is a mansion from the civil war era. There is an attached museum, and plenty to do in Charleston. Can't wait to go back.

This was our first trip to Charleston and it could not have been lovelier. I felt like I actually lived there for a brief time! Julia is wonderful, very welcoming. The rooms are immaculate and beautiful. Thank you for a wonderful experience!
