“A Must Do!”
Reviewed March 18, 2014 via mobile

This is the best way to see the highlights of the city and learn an overview of the history of many landmarks. Our guide was very knowledgable and took great pride in his work. All employees were courteous and helpful. We appreciated the 4 hours of free parking in their lot as well!

I took a carriage ride during my recent visit to Charleston and thoroughly enjoyed it! Our driver was excellent. He knew the history and city well and was also humorous. I would highly recommend this company!

“A must do in Charleston”
Reviewed March 17, 2014

Well organized and very informative. Parking was included with our carriage ride so my biggest concern of finding parking was eased. This is the way a great old city is meant to be seen.

“What a way to experience Charleston”
Reviewed March 17, 2014

Ok, so you can't visit Charleston and bypass the carriage tours. I was a bit put off at first because I don't like the animals having to spend all their time pulling carriages around town. However, one of the attendants explained the schedules of the mules and it seemed to be more humane than I thought. Anyway, you don't really know the section of town you will tour until they permit place gives the operator a route. Lucky for us, we got to ride up Rainbow row. Its a good way to get in a little history lesson while seeing the sights.

Thank you for taking the time to write about your recent carriage tour with Palmetto. I'm so glad to hear that your guide took the time to explain the animals' schedules. Our animals are first priority at Palmetto and are treated with tender loving care. The lottery system of zones being assigned to carriage tours is the City of Charleston's way of managing traffic and accommodating visitors and residents. All zones are full of history, beautiful homes, and stories of the people of days gone by.

We appreciate your choosing Palmetto and would love to see ya'll again.

“Pickx2”
Reviewed March 16, 2014 via mobile

This carriage ride through the history of Charleston was absolutely wonderful. Our guide was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The tour was led by our horse, Facebook, who seemed a little irritable at times, but our guide handled him with ease, his expertise evident. We would suggest this ride to anyone visiting Charleston, especially if you have children.
