I've been here a few times but had to come and check out the newly added CAB Prime Dry aged steaks from Master Purveyors.
Needless to say I'm a meathead if that actually means something to me but... It's a killer steak. Brilliantly funky, wine-y, and slightly musky--in a good way.
We did apps of Steak Tartare and seared scallops. The steak was salty & tender with a certain mustardiness to the aioli and the requisite quail egg perched atop. The scallops were sweet and briny and contrasted nicely with the Brussels sprouts.
Bibb and Tatsoi with goat cheese salads were great salad courses.
My wife loved the carved tenderloin frites and of course the Dry aged bone in Rib was phenomenal. Peter Luger can't cook steaks on Broad Street! We paired all this with smokey bacon macaroni and cheese (good to see someone do elbows for a change!) and had the sommelier pair a glass with each course.
Espresso, Capp, Limoncello, and chocolate cake to finish--then a deep coma-like sleep for about 18 hours...
