“Not that interesting”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 25, 2012

More like your usual chain stores mixed in with some really high-end stores. I was expecting a more unique shopping experience. Not interested in buying things (on vacation) that I can get at home.

“Didn't like the king street”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 18, 2012 via mobile

A bunch of upscale chain stores, all overpriced. At least at the mall you have air-conditioning. The only local places were restaurants. Be careful if you go to the wrong end of King street, the area is run down.

“Not very impressive”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 31, 2008

Lower King Street is nothing more than standard and some up-scale national chains. Upper King Street had a few local-flavored shops, but only one stood out - Cupcake: where we snacked on a delicious dessert of, you guessed it, cupcakes.

“It's the ambiance....”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 5, 2008

Walking and shopping in Charleston is so pleasurable. There are the "chain" retail spots but don't forget the charming local shops. The architecture is beautiful. A treat I look forward to every year.

“Great shops”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 4, 2008

Great opportunity to shop! A wide variety of shops and stores along this whole street. One end of the street is high end shopping, department stores, etc.. the other end is antiques, art galleries, etc. I think it's Broad St. that splits the ends of the streets as far as type of shopping, i could be wrong. Check it out!
