“It is a bridge”
Reviewed July 18, 2013 via mobile

Certainly not a number 1 thing. The view was nothing special. The bridge is not bad looking, the construction looks very light - a good thing for a bridge this size - but nothing special. Probably an above average bridge if you consider the crossing options it provides. Multiple intersections directly to and from the bridge. Also lots of people running and walking across. It will be a dissapointment if one travels just for this

“Coolest Bridge Ever”
Reviewed July 17, 2013

This bridge is the coolest we have ever seen. It nicely complements this wonderful city and provides easy access from downtown to the Mt. Pleasant community east of the Cooper River.

“Interesting architecture”
Reviewed July 16, 2013

The bridge is great to see and cross. You can bike or walk across the bridge as there is a separate lane for this.

“The Ravenel Bridge is Beautiful but ...”
Reviewed July 16, 2013

I don’t understand why it’s ranked the #1 attraction in Charleston. Don’t get me wrong, it’s definitely a beautiful bridge, and better yet, it doesn’t cost a penny to cross over ...it’s FREE! But Charleston has many other great sights, besides this bridge, that should not be overlooked or taken for granted. Additionally, one of the best things I found in Charleston are its wonderful people! From taxi drivers, hotel and restaurant staff, concierges, docents and practically everyone we met during our four day stay, all treated us as their guests. This city relies on tourist trade and the local’s seem to really get it. My recommendation when visiting Charleston is see the bridge, along with the other wonderful sights chock-full of American history, and relish the southern hospitality.

“Ahhh, it's a bridge”
Reviewed July 14, 2013

Yes, I guess it's look is unique and a nice drive, but in the end, it's still just a bridge... you drive over it.
We used it to get to Patriot's Point- interesting attraction in it's own right
