My husband and I took the early morning tour with Tim as our guide and the carriage pulled by Kevin. Tim is knowledgeable (He's a grad of the university in Charleston with a history degree) and provided interesting information about historical events of the city and architectural styles of the various homes and buildings. We have been to Charleston several times, but this carriage tour was a good introduction to the city for our 3 day stay. The tour, itself, was comprehensive. Our only concern was that we were told to be there promptly at 9:15 for our 9:30 tour. Because of some confusion, the carriage scheduled to take our group did not show. The woman managing the carriages that morning apologized and put us on Tim's carriage - but our tour did not start until 9:45 which meant 30 minutes of standing and waiting on the sidewalk. Although she gave us a discount coupon for half off some eating establishments, a better offer would have been a partial refund of the cost of the tour to offset the inconvenience of waiting so long.
