Beautiful to see and our guide was excellent. Wish I could remember his name, but I must say he was full of insight into the Jewish community coming to South Carolina and the overall history of Charleston.

I fell in love with Charleston and would love to relocate here so I checked out the Jewish community! A beautiful active congregation! Very warm and friendly!

I had read about this on Trip Advisor and we really wanted to see this synagogue. Being Jewish, we have visited synagogues all over the world where we have been and this one did not disappoint. The gentleman giving the tour was so very engaging and we thoroughly enjoyed listening to him talk about his synagogue and the congregation that attends services here. Very worthwhile and perfect for a rainy day!

So much history...it was very cool to worship in this historic temple. Charleston is called the holy city and this synagogue is one of many historic houses of worship.
