Description: Roadside Seafood is a casual seafood restaurant. We started in 2012 as a mobile food truck. As our popularity grew, so did our demand. So we opened doors to our family owned restaurant in April 2014. We serve fresh seafood the way you want it. When it comes to the normal sea fare like oysters, shrimp, and crab cakes, we've got you covered. However we also have unique menu options like shark, frog legs and gator tail! We were picked by Charleston Magazine's Food & Beverage issue as the Best She-Crab Soup along with Best Down Home Seafood 2014. We have also been named as the No. 2 Best Fried Shrimp Spot in Charleston, by the Charleston City Paper! So c'mon and see why we claim to have the "Best BAM Seafood in Charleston"!!!

We were looking for a seafood place that was away from the noise of the beach. Roadside did not disappoint. We had the she crab soup and bam bam shrimp. The soup was on par it the shrimp were fantastic. The crabcakes were delicious and the fried shrimp for the freshest I've had. All in all, worth the 5 mile trip from folly.

We are locals and ordered food to go, it was very yummy and I'm sure we will be back there again!!!! It's a small place but the food is worth it, fair pricing, and it's all very fresh

First ate with these guys when they had just the food truck. ..awesome then and awesome still. We had the fried shrimp, fish, crab cakes and scallops....they rock seafood like no one else in charleston. The mac and cheese is what I call an adult version. ...out of this world! The crab cakes are their specialty and rightfully so. It is small as far as seating but Friday night we got ours to go and so did many others patrons. Go there even if you do take out

Thank you Roadside Seafood! I'm always wanting some fresh seafood out on James Island after I leave the beach and now I've found it. The gator bites and the Po' Boys were amazing! Really I don't need to write a whole lot about this place; just go!

I'm glad we stopped by on the front end of our vacation. We'll be back for sure.

The fried local seafood is delicious, but it was great to learn they'll grill/pan sear as well. Try the grilled scallops, better known as buttery deliciousness.

We had gator bites; she-crab soup; fried shrimp, scallops, oysters, flounder and chicken; and crab cakes. It was all amazing. And don't forget a slice of key lime pie, the perfect finish to a great meal.

Been at the beach all day? They have Gatorade in the soda gun!

Service was beyond great. Thanks, Carly, we'll see you soon!
