My wife and I visited The Green Goat for dinner yesterday; I had been wanting to try it since it opened but just hadn't been able to. There was a decent crowd, but not bad at all and we were seated immediately. The beer menu is pretty doggone good, and I opted for a Foothills People's Porter. We chose the calamari for an appetizer and it was great - the marinara and aioli were very tasty! I ordered the shrimp and grits, and it was just fantastic - the grits were crazy creamy, and there were plenty of shrimp and sausage within.
My wife decided to go with the brisket po-boy, and she just loved it; she is not a horse radish fan, but she really enjoyed this. Luckily, I 'had' to finish hers, and enjoyed the heck out of it.
Total cost for two dinners and an appetizer, along with a cold craft beer was @ $40.
I can't wait to go back and try the other items on the menu!
