Description: Edmund’s Oast is a restaurant like no other, because it’s so much more - a unique combination of brewery, seasonally-focused kitchen, and encyclopedic bar program. Scott Shor had the vision to bring these often-singular pursuits under one roof without sacrificing an inch of quality among them. The restaurant offers an elevated but approachable menu, providing guests a warm and exciting dining experience. Executive Chef Bob Cook’s distinctively dynamic menu includes bar snacks, house made charcuterie, small plates, heartier entrees, and classic desserts with a contemporary spin. The food is authentic without pretension, delivering an extraordinary dining experience inspired by the beverages featured on the menu.

First visit to Edmund's & will definitely be back. The beer selection was fantastic, the recommendations for our taste preference was right on & the ambiance was right on! Delicious food, great service in a non-stuffy environment. Highly recommend.

Love the cheese plate and the Ricotta cheese app! There is a huge beer selection, the decor is really nice, service is good and I've been there for the past 2 Monday nights - by 8pm it is packed!! Not bad for a restaurant that is brand new and off the beaten path.

This was our first visit to Edmund's Oast and it will not be our last. The glowing reviews I read on Trip Advisory were right on and I could not agree more. I love the selection of small plates, but after the large cured charcuterie board we had to be constrained to warm grilled asparagus and the awesome brownie dessert. The chef's counter is an awesome experience for two and you must try it at least once. I highly recommend that you try Edmund's Oast. I think you will return as we certainly will.

I have celiac disease and don't drink beer. My husband collects wine and doesn't drink beer. But alas, when traveling to Charleston from NJ and requesting some input on fine dining on my husband's web wine board, 'Edmund's Oast' was cited by several Charlestonians as a new gem, not to be missed. We made a reservation for our first night in town and brought a '97 Pahlmeyer with us, planning to pay a corkage fee.

When the cab turned in to the property, my husband told the driver he was in the wrong place. But indeed, we were in the right place....Edmund's Oast just had a completely different look and vibe from the dozens of establishments on King Street we'd just passed. Lots of seating outside, and an unassuming exterior that housed a unique and hip interior. Incredibly friendly and welcoming hostesses. First impressions count.

At 6:15 p/m on a Monday night, the place was hopping. We asked for seats at "the chef's counter". Even though the Executive Chef was not on premises, he'd be proud to know that his staff performed heroically for a very busy crowd. We were watching.

Greeted by our waiter, Lindsay, who proved throughout the meal to a) know his stuff and 2) how to be attentive without overbearing, we followed his lead with recommendations. Lindsay raved about the pickled shrimp on rye and the whipped ricotta served with charred cauliflower and broccoli. The plates were anything but small. We're accustomed to small plates being just that in NJ and NY; here, they could have served as our dinner if we weren't so tempted by other choices. The pickled shrimp is an absolute must-have. Don't miss it. Soon after those two "small" plates, we were ordering the NY strip over creamed spinach, to share. Incredible. Between the two of us, we've eaten at steak houses in dozens of cities; this was the most tender and flavorful strip we've experienced. Sliced in the kitchen, it was easy to share; it literally melted in our mouths. Perfectly prepared.

Couldn't pass up dessert, once we heard all of the choices were gluten-free. How often does a girl with celiac disease get to order anything she wants off of a dessert menu, including cake, cookies and brownies? That would be NEVER. So we opted for the chewy brownies with salted caramel sauce and meringue and also the pistachio cookies. The brownies do not disappoint. The juxtaposition of the chewy dark chocolate with the amazing caramel sauce? BINGO.

Attentive service + talented preparation in the kitchen = a wonderful value. A culinary jackpot. Go and enjoy.

The beer selection is amazing!
The menu is small, but excellent.
The bacon egg and cheeseburger is a decadent delicacy.
The Scrapple and eggs are phenomenal.

This place is a must try for both beer geeks and foodies.
