During a flight to Charleston, I sat next to a local who encouraged me to avoid the touristy restaurants in town and try Coast if I got the chance. Some colleagues and I took that sage advice and met up for a dinner. When walking up to the restaurant, one gets the feeling that only those who know where to find this hidden gem will ever discover it--and already, I loved it. I arrived with a party of 10, and each person bought a different item on the menu from shrimp & grits to paella. Regardless of large portion sizes, every meal disappeared. I ordered the shrimp & grits with a side of their traditional ceviche. I was more than impressed by both dishes. You will spend at least $20/person on dinner entrees, but it's a great value.
