“Night Out”
Reviewed April 2, 2014 via mobile

Went out with a group of friends, everyone liked their food, she crab soup was specifically excellent. Got rated for the best salad and French fries...had both. They were good, but definitely had better. Service was good, but took a long time for our food. Will be back.

“my wife's favorite place to eat in Charleston.”
Reviewed March 30, 2014 via mobile

Thank god for the new bridge, my wife loves this place but it used to be a bugger to get to.
The food is great but it gets real busy so call a head. Don't expect a quite dinner here, the place is loud.

“Ate there 4 times in 3 days!”
Reviewed March 28, 2014

We stayed in a La Quinta across the parking lot so this was the most convenient place to eat. I couldn't say enough about this venue. It is on a point jutting out into the Ashley river. We saw pelicans and dolphins and other birds. It is where the tide fights with the river currents. You can see Charleston across the river and the bridges connecting it. It seems it's a spot for celebrations. Everyone seemed to be celebrating or connecting with loved ones. What a fantastic atmosphere. It is always busy but not overly loud. The food is a nice mix of comfort food and a little edgier fare. I had She Crab soup twice and the mushroom soup. I could hear lots of people ordering it. I had several of the sandwiches all delicious and plentiful. My husband ordered a side order of linguini Alfredo and I scarfed it down. He didn't get any. My husband had three cheese ravioli and I had a Caesar salad. Because the weather was bad we ordered copious amounts of coffee but other years we orders their Sam Adams draft and it was great. The waiters and waitresses were so cute I would have liked to take them home with me. Bravo for California Dreaming! Don't change a thing.

“You can't find a view like this very often and great food”
Reviewed March 26, 2014

Restaurant was recommended by friends but they described it as a hamburger joint. I'm not sure where they got that idea as the menu was impressive and so much more than hamburgers. They had a local beer which was very good and the view on the river was great. The mean arrived in a timely manner and the server was very attentive. Portions were large and the food was tasty. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the area.

“what a view”

If you want a scenic lunch or dinner in Charleston, head to this restaurant. Portions are big so go hungry. You will not be disappointed.
