There is nothing but great things to say about this place, I love it and go often, can be pricey but well worth it. Celebrate my anniversary every year here

“Very Disappointed.”
Reviewed December 26, 2012

My husband and I are local and always love dining at Charleston Grill, which is why when my Mother decided to come for Christmas it was an easy choice for dinner, so we thought. Unfortunately last night the service wasn't personal, the food took entirely too long, and it was nothing to write home about for a 3 person and over $400 meal. Maybe it was because of the holiday and the many travelers that don't frequent, but that's still no excuse. We won't be returning to Charleston Grill anytime soon.

“Holiday dinner”
Reviewed December 26, 2012

Always stop here for our favorite holiday dinner with our gang and have a great time. The menu is very different in how they break out the food categories.

“Great place”

Great service, live music, excellent food. The variety is not great though. Expensive, but definitely worth trying.

“One of Our Best Dining Experiences”
Reviewed December 18, 2012

We were a little reluctant when friends we were visiting in the Charleston area insisted on taking us to dinner at the Charleston Grill. While the Charleston Place hotel is clearly a top of the line establishment, hotel restaurants are often not the best choices. That's certainly not the case with the Grill, however. It's an elegant dining room, the service is absolutely superb, and the food was an experience that we talked about for days afterward. There were four of us and we opted for the chef's menu (whole table must order it). It isn't a set menu, although you can request certain items, but rather a 6-course meal offering the chef's special items for the evening (though you are asked beforehand if there are foods you can't eat or strongly dislike). Our evening started with a baby octopus salad that was just wonderful, then went on to include crab cakes, grilled foie gras, a Thai fish dish,, and a ribeye steak that was amazing. Had the meal with the wine pairing option (each course matched with a glass of really good wines) and loved it. For a first rate dining experience, though admittedly not an inexpensive one, the Charleston Grill is a wonderful choice.
