The food was fresh, service great and friendly. Reasonable prices for such a lovely place. I'd go again in a flash.

Magnolia's is a great choice for a taste of Charleston. The prices are more than fair for the food and the service you get.
Our server was great; he took plenty of time to suggest dishes and simply chat.
We started off with the fried green tomatoes which are really to die for. Then we tried the flounder which was good and the fresh, local vegetarian plate. Unfortunately this consisted of more fried green tomatoes, a super heavy cream sauce and another heavy risotto on the bottom. Hardly the way to best showcase fresh, local veggies, in my opinion. I tried their take on a mojito with sweet tea vodka as well as the pecan pie- amazing!!!! Total for three people was 116 (one app, 3 entrees, one alcoholic drink, one dessert). Definitely worth it for the nice food and great service.

My wife and I grabbed dinner here real quick and they were so hospitable to find us a table. It is A nice turn on down south cooking lots of greens, fried chicken, mac and cheese, but done in a really well put together way. We ate with sweet tea for around 40 dollars. Seemed to be a great choice for people wanting the Charleston experience.

A classic Charleston restaurant! Perhaps not as creative as some, but always good. The best appetizer is the boiled peanut hummus! Wow- so good.

As local residents, we have dined at Magnolia's many many times. The fried green tomatoes are the BEST, especially when made the remoulade sauce. Forget carbs-- eat the superb bread and whatever else appeals. We've sampled many dishes on the menu and have almost always been pleased. Skip the shortcake dessert which is rather bland and dry. Wait staff and service are outstanding. If there is anything that doesn't suit, they are quick to make it right. Our guests agree that Magnolia's represents Charleston well.
