“Another wonderful Charleston restaurant!”
Reviewed August 4, 2014

Honestly, in the four days we were in town, we did not have a bad meal, but our experience at SNOB was a highlight. It had been on a list of recommendations we got from friends and co-workers, but we didn't think we'd get to it. On a day when we had a late and large breakfast, we were ready for dinner earlier than normal and were walking nearby. So we walked in about 4pm. Turns out they don't open until 5 for dinner. We didn't have a reservation, per se, but we were put on a wait list for one of the three tables in the front window. That was fine with us! Our waiter was fabulous, as was the manager, who stopped by and told us about how the Maverick kitchen moniker came to be when we asked. The food was excellent. I started with the prosciutto wrapped asparagus and my husband had the she crab soup. Both excellent. The corn bread was yummy, too. For our entrees, I had the sea scallops and my husband had the tuna steak. Both cooked to perfection and wonderful. We opted out of dessert, but I'm sure it would've been wonderful. After dinner, we walked next door and purchased a bottle of Maverick wine... the restaurant's own label for wine and liquor. We would go back in a heartbeat, and recommend it to family and friends!

“Our favorite in Charleston!”
Reviewed August 4, 2014

According to my husband, S.N.O.B.'s Shrimp and grits were unsurpassed by any of the other five restaurants that he tasted this dish in Charleston. We went for lunch as we were unable to get a dinner reservation during any of the nights we were in Charleston. (hint: book this restaurant in advance--I was unable to get a dinner reservation two weeks out!) The decor is darling, the service was friendly and efficient, and the Buffalo Chicken Watermelon with Goat Cheese salad I ate was delicious! Great choice for lunch!

“Continues to Excel”
Reviewed August 4, 2014

With all the great restaurants in Charleston, it's nice to see the consistently high quality of SNOB. All of our entrees were excellent, and the fried green tomatoes were the best we've ever had. Really love this place.

“Would go back again and again”
Reviewed August 3, 2014

This place was recommended by a friend, as was the shrimp and grits. I do not like spicy food, but the hubby does. Since the waitress recommended it, he tried it. Never had grits in his life, nor shrimp and grits, and he says it is probably his best meal EVER!!!! I wanted something lighter and went with the veggie sandwich. It was very good, as was the salad that I got with it. If it had not been so early in the day (lunch) i would have tried the mojito which was also recommended.
Definitely recommend and will plan another trip to Charleston just to eat there again and again.
The decor was beautiful and just wonderful to take in.

“A Great Choice”
Reviewed August 2, 2014

This place has it all. Good location just a block or so from the Market. Nice decor...tablecloths, lighting etc. A great lunch menu with lunch specials for about $12. Food and presentation was excellent. Try it, you will be glad you did!
