Description: Slightly North of Broad is a Lowcountry bistro that brings together an abundance of local ingredients and thoughtful, expert presentation with a friendly, contagious energy. Here the dining room is a natural extension of the kitchen, a place where culinary skill, a clever, considered wine program, warm service, and conversations meld together. Our local farmers, fishermen and producers are as integral to the food we make as they are to our place in this community.

“Fantastic Food- Chef's Table is a Nice Touch”
Reviewed April 2, 2014

We came here for some appetizers and drinks after we arrived in the city. We didn't have reservations but they were happy to seat us at the Chef's Table which faces the kitchen and is side by side communal seating. This was not a problem for us and actually if I was returning I would request sitting here again. It was a great experience. We had the charcuterie plate and wine. It was pretty delicious. We didn't stay for dinner, but nearly everything I saw passing us by looked exceptional. I would come back again.

“Great Lunch in Charleston”
Reviewed April 1, 2014 via mobile

It's hard to find a quality lunch in Charleston as most of the better restaurants are not open for lunch. So we were pleased to enjoy high quality food and great service on our recent visit. Clam chowder, a flounder special and house made chips were all delicious. We booked lunch the next day and had an equally great experience- crab salad and shrimp and grits. Book ahead on open table as this is very popular with local business people and lawyers.

“Perfect meal”
Reviewed March 31, 2014

This place is just perfect. The room is large and very interesting in terms of art and urbane decor. The server was A+ and knew the menu like the back of her hand and even recommend a wonderful (and nearly extinct) German beer just for the fun of it. Everything was delicious from the appetizer to the main entrees. I can't say enough about the atmosphere, food, and service.
We only had jeans to wear and felt right at home. Casual yet elegant.

“Lives up to the hype!”
Reviewed March 30, 2014 via mobile

Excellent meal! We tried the shrimp and grits and it was plentiful and filling. Another fabulous and unique signature dish we had was the barbeque tuna. Sooo good! Ask to sit at the chef's table. It's fun, you get a view of the kitchen and for two you have more space than you would at a table. The interior is nicely decorated but not stuffy. Service was friendly and they don't rush you at all.It was a fun night out.

Great HH n location. The truffle popcorn has Parmesan, truffle oil, and chives. Delicious!!! Their maverick red red wine is refreshing.
