“Nice change from seafood”
Reviewed July 18, 2013

Although Jestine's does have fish I really enjoyed their fried chicken..fried dark and crispy! My husband enjoyed the pork chops. A table item before your meal are sweet/vinegar flavored pickles (also can buy for take home). Staff very, very friendly. Go early and miss the long line.

“OMG! Cornbread Lip Smackin Good”
Reviewed July 17, 2013

There's usually a line here for a reason. We are locals who eat out frequently. Dining out in Charleston is a treat with so many options so we had not been here in awhile. I forgot how good it was....Can't go wrong with fried chicken, cornbread, . Everything we've eaten here makes you want more. Best coca cola cake in town. love this place.

“MMMMM Good!”
Reviewed July 15, 2013

Jestine's is closed on Monday's FYI. We visited on a Tuesday and waited in line for about 15 minutes. It travels pretty fast. Once inside, we ordered the fried pork chops and the pecan crusted fried chicken. Yummm! The staff are very friendly. Took a slice of Coconut Cream Pie with us and bought the T-Shirt. We will, for sure, be visiting the next time in town.

“A Must go to for Great Southern Country Food!”
Reviewed July 14, 2013

We arrived at Jestin's around 2:00pm on a Sunday afternoon in peak season. We had been searching for a good country food restaurant for about an hour. We found Jestin's. There was no wait which was great! The owner greated us at the door and quickly got us to a table. I ordered fried chicken, mac & cheese, mashed potatoes, and collards. When it arrived at the table, I was shocked. There was two huge chicken breast with all of the sides. The fried chicken was excellent with awesome batter! The sides were great as well! The homemade banana pudding was excellent as well! Everything was fresh, not frozen or canned! BRING YOUR APPETITE! GOOD LUCK EATING IT ALL!

We had lunch here today it was awesome. Omg the fried chicken was amazing to say the least. All my favorite side Mac and cheese fried okra steamed cabbage. After all this I still had to save room for the to die for home made banana pudding. This is a must place to eat in charleston don't let it pass you by.
