“Pleasantly Surprised!”
Reviewed October 8, 2013

We visited Blossom during "Restaurant Week". I was pleasantly surprised! The restaurant is much larger than it appears from the road and the dining area has a nice open, airy feel, with a nice view to the patio area. The overall appearance of the dining room was very appealing. The food we tried was from the "Restaurant Week" menu. Our first course was very nice, the shrimp cake was delicious and my husband's salad was also a success. The main course, salmon, was also excellent. Our dessert course, a coconut cream pie selection that was more like a light mousse with a coconut topping, was good, but not exciting, There were a couple of things that could've been better. The youthful staff up front could've paid a bit more attention to details - like cleaning the bathrooms up between the lunch rush and the start of dinner. We were there early for dinner, yet the bathrooms were, well let's just say, very well used. There were also a few flies buzzing around the tables that kept interrupting our dinner - something that the staff could possibly have taken care of between the lunch & dinner timeframes. But all in all, this was a very nice restaurant that I will plan on visiting again!

“Other places to have more special meal in Charleston”
Reviewed October 8, 2013

Went to Blossom for dinner with my wife. Were seated promptly. Service was quick but impersonal. Food was OK, but not up to our expectations in Charleston. Have eaten brunch here, and will return for brunch but not for a nice dinner on the town. There are better meals and atmospheres in the city. A bit of a large eatery experience rather than a comfortable local meal.

“Just ok”
Reviewed October 5, 2013 via mobile

Much anticipation, for this sister restaurant to magnolias, but a little let down. We started with the calamari, green tomatoes and gnocchi - all were excellent! For dinner, we had the shrimp and grits (average), rainbow trout (solid), ny strip (disappointing), and flounder (good, but very heavy). So while the apps killed it, the main dishes overall disappointed. I also ordered the jalapeño mojitos after the server said it was not too hot - it was not drinkable and a waste of money. Given the dinners, cue did not stay for dessert and instead sought that out elsewhere.

“Sunday Brunch”
Reviewed October 3, 2013

We had friends that told us how fantastic this place was. We sat outside on a Sunday morning for brunch and really enjoyed ourselves. We were traveling with another couple and came here on strong recommendations. It did not fail us! We couldn't decide what to eat. Everything looked fabulous on the menu and we had such a hard time deciding. Our server was not as attentive as we would of liked. We had to keep asking for coffee and drinks. My friend ordered fried green tomatoes as a first course and they were perfectly cooked. I ordered fried pork belly as an appetizer and it was moist and delicious. I would definitely consider going back here for dinner or brunch.

“Wonderful Lunch”
Reviewed September 30, 2013

After a delayed early morning flight into town for a meeting, the hotel desk clerk mentioned Blossom as a place you could get lunch that wasn't fried! She was right on with her suggestion. We walked right in in mid afternoon and had a quiet introduction to low country food. The She Crab Soup was sweet and delicious, the lobster/potato chowder was thick and yummy and the crab BLT was superb. We will definitely come back for dinner some time.
