“Blossom restaurant in Charleston, SC, a Southern dining experience”
Reviewed April 30, 2013

We wanted our out-of-town visitors to enjoys a Southern dining experience on their first visit to Charleston. The menu offers both Southern and other choices. Soft shell crab is in season and it was beautifully prepared, as were the other choices. The decibel level was decent, so we were able to enjoy conversation, a real treat. Additionally, Blossom, located on East Bay Street is right in the middle of a vibrant night scene, the sidewalks were alive with people.
The only negative was that the service could have been a little less intrusive--we were having a thoroughly enjoyable evening, but maybe the restaurant needed the table?!

“A super March afternoon on the garden”
Reviewed April 29, 2013

You take a trip to Charleston, walk in the city and admire all the history. You are hungry and search for a good place to et with hundreds of tourist including some from a cruise ship. You stop in front of a menu from a place called Blossom and yo decide to eat there. Suddenly you see a garden/patio on the side of the restaurant. It's sunny and you ask if it is open because nobody is inside. You become the only customer willing to eat outside. Believe me it is a great idea. The sun, the beer and the food are exquisite. The calmness of the place compare to inside (there is a 3 side wall with plants blocking all the noises of the busy street) and the calming of the water fountain makes it quite an experience. The menu is really Charleston. The service was personalized. All in all for a very reasonable price we had a beautiful dinning experience. I recommend it. Remember it's lunch and it's in March. You won't regret it.

Lunch on Sunday was superb - my wife raved about her shrimp, avocado and crab salad and my fried green tomato, bacon and crabmeat sandwich was delicious. Free parking at the lot next to their sister restaurant, Magnolias, which is excellent as well.

“Yummy lunch”
Reviewed April 23, 2013 via mobile

Great place for lunch. We had the fried artichokes for an appetizer they were delicious. I had a peach Bellini and the crab, fried green tomato blt. It was a very generous sandwich and could have been shared. My husband had a chicken wrap and crab soup. The prices weren't cheap but not overly expensive $10 for my sandwich which came with a side.

“Perfect Date Night”
Reviewed April 22, 2013

I came here with my boyfriend for my birthday dinner. We made a reservation the day of, got dressed up and went. We were a little late for our reservation (15 minutes) due to traffic but they saved our table for us! The waitress was the nicest person I've ever met at a restaurant. She gave great recommendations on what to have. The She Crab soup was more of a crab bisque, but it was fantastic all the same. And the duck was mouthwatering! My boyfriend had the flounder (delicious!) and the chorizo appetizer. Absolutely fantastic. Wish I could dine like this every night!
