My mother-in-law and I just had lunch at Five Loaves. We loved it!!! We shared a bowl of tomato tarragon soup with a crab meat garnish. It was delicious. I had half a portobello mushroom and goat cheese sandwich and my mother-in-law had half an eggplant and asparagus salad. We enjoyed these very much too. There were many sandwiches, salads and soups to choose from and we especially appreciated the fact that we could choose a half sandwich or half salad. So, we were able to try more. In addition to several vegetarian friendly choices, there were plenty with meat that I know my husband would enjoy. Our waitress was very efficient and knowledgable about the menu. And, there was a convenient parking lot right across from the restaurant. The restaurant had a funky, neighborhood atmosphere. We will definitely return on our next trip to Charleston.

We loved the inventive taste combinations we found at this little neighborhood place. Get there early since they only take reservations on Valentine's Day and fill up quickly.

All the foods you can find in a pricier restaurant but much cheaper. Amazing for lunch. Try the soup sampler if you love soups. They give you three small cups.

Five loaves is a great lunch and dinner place with a combination of healthy and devilish treat food. A bit crunchy but the food is excellent and provides a great atmosphere and good eating. The deserts are killer.

Went to Five Loaves for lunch. Had a great chicken salad club with bacon, avacado on a fresh croisant. One of the best sandwiches in awhile. Great selection of soups. Menu for dinner looks good, very reasonably priced. Not much atmoshere but located on a residential street a few blocks from King Street. Definately a great find (thanks tripadvisor) will go back for dinner on next trip to Charleston
