This was our favorite restaurant in Charleston...First of all the rooms inside the restaurant, and there are eleven of them, are charming and beautiful...The outdoor courtyard is also lovely...The service is professional and friendly...The FOOD is wonderful..This place makes the best Jambalaya that I have ever had ( and I have had it in New Orleans)..The barbequed shrimp over grits was delicious...One of the best things is their award winning she crab soup with a hint of sherry...Their peach cobbler with homemade cinnamon ice cream is a hit as well...Skip the pecan pie, and go for the cobbler...All in all, this is truly a great place for either lunch or dinner...

I am glad that I had not read the reviews before we went here for our anniversary. A friend recommended the restaurant since we had never been to Charleston and my hubby went and researched the web-site and made reservations. He told them that it was our anniversary and we wanted to eat on the patio. It was wonderful. They had a card congratulating us on the table and the waitress was great. Our food was very good. We had the she-crab soup, barbecued shrimp and grits and the crab cakes. They were all very good. The atmosphere was lovely and everyone was very good to us. Maybe just letting them know that we were expecting good things helped us out.

Server was fine, what he served was not...really disappointed during an anniversary visit last weekend (06.18.06). Bouillibase broth was like dishwater only not as piquant. No taste whatsoever...answer from chef "didn't season to well" not even sure they started with a fish stock!...snippy gal out front argueing about a reservation confirmed 3 weeks ago. needs attitude adjustment front of house..and some cooks who care in back of house...skip it..

The food at 82 Queen is absolutely superb. We ate lunch there recently. The She Crab soup was delicious. The crab cakes were equally delicious, with two delightful sauces. I'm not sure when I've eaten a better lunch --- I'm not kidding. This place is not to be missed. The flavors are unbelievable. I came home and went to their website to get some of their recipes.
