“Locals abound”
Reviewed October 21, 2013 credit card Amex Card Member Review

Took my son here for birthday lunch. Brick courtyard for dining outdoors. Not many places in Charleston where you can do that, without actually being in a bar. Place has good food, character, and characters!!!...and significant architectural history.

“Good food, great atmosphere and history”
Reviewed October 13, 2013

Lucked into this pub being just down the street from our lodging. Looks a bit rough but is quite friendly. Enjoyed happy hour. Went back Sunday for brunch in the back courtyard. It is very cool. Had Mimosas and Bloody s and a breakfast burrito as big as my head! my wife had excellent french toast, Be sure and read the history on the menu it is very cool.

“Great for Sunday Funday and Dog Friendly!!”
Reviewed October 9, 2013

We came here this past Sunday for afternoon drinks. They are great specials till 3:30 on Sundays - an awesome outdoor seating area too. It's great for a group of people or if you had a dog.

“GOOD BURGERS, GOOD BEER, GOOD SERVICE”
Reviewed October 1, 2013

Not a fancy restaurant, but if you are looking for superior "pub grub" and a good beer selection, good choice. Burgers were thick and juicy, with Angus Beef. Fried green tomato appetizer was good, thought the potato pierogi's were a bit tough, but still tasty. One in our party had the fish taco special, and thought it was very good. Salads were fresh, with fancy lettuce. Service was pretty good. Bar inside seemed a bit "tatty", (i.e.: typical American bar), good for a drink and a snack, not so much for a romantic dinner. Outside patio was nicer, though a bit dark, and I think there was another smaller bar in the rear.

“Great for a Rest on a Busy Day”
Reviewed September 19, 2013 via mobile

Stopped in for an afternoon break. We sat outside in the courtyard - very cute with lots of fans going to keep the air circulating. We just had a beer and some appetizers, a cheese plate special that was a little skimpy and some fried green tomatoes which were very good. The staff was extremely friendly and on the ball. We had a very nice time.
