some old businesses expect customers to just keep coming because the place is an old institution. sometimes it works. it worked on me, but just once. I am no BBQ snob, picking about the different rubs or getting into fights over mustard vs. vinegar. i like BBQ and i have almost never have it bad. i really don't know how it was prepared, but if it had been boiled it would have tasted the same. the ribs were OK but that's all i can say for the entire buffet. i usually stuff myself with BBQ and cole slaw so i don't even care about the rest of the buffet, but i had to go fishing around for something decent to eat here. the desserts were an embarrassment. chalky banana pudding and if the upside down peach cake is cold and soggy at 8pm saturday night, when is it hot and fresh?? did i mention TWICE the price of a real BBQ place?
