Great for a basic steak and potato. Used to bartend here back when it was Frances Willard's Restaurant.

With so many restaurants in Charleston, I am not sure why we even chose this one. But we did and had an average meal. The atmosphere was pleasant enough. My husband enjoyed his hamburger (and was pleased with all the beer choices), but my fish tasted quite fishy and not very fresh. Our server was pretty indifferent, too. Not our greatest dining experience in Charleston.

I have no complaints. I ordered a black & bleu filet, and my companion had a ribeye. Both were excellent. The ribeye was a little bit fatty, but 95% edible. Both steaks were cooked to the asked-for degree of doneness and seasoned well. The black & bleu filet is...very interesting and really, really good if you like bleu cheese.

We went there on a Sunday during lunchtime, and it was very noisy. The place feels like a mountain lodge, inside. There was a 5-10 minute wait.

This is a casual place to have a great burger. It was very busy and noisy with college students, but that should be expected in this city unless you are going upscale. Excellent service, decent prices. The menu and atmospere was comparable to an Applebee's or Chilis.

Too much of a chain restaurant with mediocre food.
