Description: After working in the restaurant business for many years, Tommy opened his first restaurant in 1984. He has made his name by becoming one of Charleston's favorite local spots to serve up Lowcountry specialties such as shrimp and grits and fish and chips. Tommy runs the type of family-oriented establishment where people know their children are as welcome as they are. In fact, a children's menu has been specially prepared for "little leprechauns." In the months following Hurricane Hugo, Tommy made numerous trips to Ireland collecting exquisite antique mirrors and authentic Irish memorabilia that adorn his restaurant. He scoured the countryside and brought every pub mirror he could find. He laughs wryly about his massive shipping bills. The results are worth all his effort. The mirrors cast rich reflections, making the restaurant warm and inviting. Some mirrors are ornately detailed while others shimmer with simple elegance. You'll swear you've been transported to a pub shrouded in antiquity in Ireland's rambling countryside. The restaurant would not be complete without the sounds of Ireland. The background music is perfect. In the pub and bar area the "live" sounds of Ireland can be heard every Wednesday through Sunday nights. You can sit back and listen or join in singing an Irish-American sing-along. Tommy says it is wonderful to see whole families getting in on the fun at one table while at another sits a couple on a date and at yet another sits someone's grandparents remembering and laughing.

After taking a walking tour of historical Charleston-- decided to go to a landmark restaurant for Sunday Brunch. Love it $1 mimosas till 3pm. The service was friendly--shortly after 1pm the place filled up with both tourist and locals (after church crowd). Good location- Located right off Market Street.

We spent Thanksgiving day walking in Charleston and had lunch here. We were cold and ready for a warm up. We ordered the potato soup. Flavor was great, but it was barely warm. They redeemed themselves with the corned beef and cabbage it was very tasty and was piping hot. There was more than enough meat on the plate with plenty of cabbage, potatoes and carrots. We will be back!

They run specials 5-6 days a week. For the location the food is reasonably priced and pretty good as well. Its not a top ten of all time but for what they do its pretty good. Service is up and down at times but usually decent.

When we walk in we where greeted well and we decided to sit at the bar. My husband and I have ate there last time we visited Charleston and it was a good place for lunch. Well, the bartender got us our drinks right away and gave us menus to order lunch and I don't know if it was break time or what but be disappear. The other gal was there cleaning glasses and really not worried if we needed anything or not. We finally got her attention and order. Foods was very average if best. My husband didn't get the what he order but it took so long he eat it anyways. We will not be back! Sorry,
