Try the pork. it is great, and unique! They buy their pork from a local farm, and prepare it themselves. Steak is great too. Not very keen on the crab cakes, however.

This is a great spot to eat. It has a real buzz but not loud enough to drown out a conversation. Service is professional but not aloof or hipster.

We had the special salad, pretty good, and the charcuterie plate to start. The charcuterie was outstanding. For entrées we both had pink snapper. Perfectly cooked fresh fish. We shared a side of gnocchi which was also excellent.

One small complaint. The wine list, which is excellent, needs a few more moderately priced selections.

All in all this is a great spot which I highly recommend.

We were recommended to eat at the Cypress and when we entered we could tell it was a swanky high-end restaurant. Very nice atmosphere and friendly and helpful staff. The manager came over to speak with us so you can tell they take pride in their restaurant. In fact the chef was featured on Unique Eats on the Food Network.

The food is of course good, very high quality. It is not, however, the best I have ever had at a high-end restaurant. Nonetheless it is a good restaurant with great atmosphere. We have only eaten at this restaurant in Charleston so I can't tell you how it stacks up to other Charleston restaurants.

Took my Mom here last week while she was in town- one of the raved about restaurants in town I hadn't yet tried. It was a great choice!! We tried a little of everything starting with the Long Island Oysters on the Half Shell (a little bland and watery for the price), Asparagus and Smoked Salmon soup (amazing combination), Lobster Bisque (very unique and flavorful, almost nutty), and my favorite starter of the night- the Sweet and Sour Meatballs with Ricotta Gnocchi (sounds a little odd to the mix, but they were to die for).

For our main courses I had the Salmon Wellington (cooked perfectly and with a crispy, not heavy, crust), and mom had the Filet with the Steak Diane sides (Cooked to perfection and so flavorful). We also got the fried mac n cheese to share (it was good, but not WOW).

Service was alright, nothing to note, and the place was a little loud (it was packed on a Monday night), but all in all I would love to go back and try some other goodies- def. a new favorite.

Went there last night for dinner. Three of us had the bacon jam, pimento cheese and liver pate dips with breads, FANTASTIC. The carpaccio, fresh and delicious, the pizza perfect. We stopped for just appetizers before a tour but will definitely be back for dinner. Everything was delicious and service perfect. A gem in Charleston.
