“Must try”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 23, 2014 via mobile

Fish is located in upper King Street right in the heart of the trendy, electric part of Charleston.

Upon entering the restaurant, you go straight into the bar area. Fun and active. Great drink selection....fun mixes of spirits.

The overall atmosphere was energized but not so loud that it was difficult to have a coversation.

Food was delicious....eclectic and interesting. A great take on dim sum. ..which were bite size pieces of of local fare. Dinner was delicious too. Presented well and great pairing of side dishes.

Service was great. Nice waitress that guided us through the menu.

This is a must try. Skip Magnolias and try a restaurant that provides wonderful experience.

“Good Food”

The Salmon was fantastic. All 3 of us liked our meals very much. It was a bit easier to get reservation at the last minute on a Fri but this was a great restaurant.

“Good but not great !”

Fish is one of many restaurants available in the now trendy upper King Street area of Charleston. The setting is nice with a touch of contemporary design. There is the now common choice of small and large plates available. A nice touch is there "dim sum" offerings. Although not authentic dim sum it is very nice to have a choice of bite sized appetizers to share or to start the meal. We tried a quenelle and the fried oysters. The crab bisque was excellent with an oriental flare. The seared salmon with crab bread pudding was interesting. If you cannot get a reservation at The Ordinary then this is a good second choice.

“Very good food”

A nice place in downtown Charleston. The scallops were amazing. As with most higher end places, the portions were small and price large. My wife had the chicken and wasn't impressed. I must say that it was a good thing we ate a big lunch because we would have been hungry shortly after this meal.

“A chef from Lyons with an Asian Twist”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 11, 2014

First dinner in Charleston with my foodie son from Seattle. Dim Sum appetizers ... choose four different small taste delights. I then had a Bouillabaisse with asian noodles and a lemon grass sauce ... wow! My son had the Lobster Croque, an Asian noodle pancake and brussels sprouts in an amazing asian sauce. Desert ... you guessed it ... Dim Sum style ... select for of eight wonderful deserts and have two bites of each. Great mixed drinks, a nice wine selection and outstanding service. My only concern was the "loud buzz" from the hard decor and a full house. But with food like that, a full house is to be expected.
