“Breakfast in the Courtyard”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 2, 2012

We had breakfast in the courtyard and it was so beautiful. A well kept secret in Charleston and a must do if you want a quality breakfast. We had the signature Blue Crab Eggs Benedict. Served hot and plenty of crab meat. We had the best grits I had all week. The fountains, flowers and beauty in the courtyard made for the best morning in Charleston.

Thank you for your wonderful review of our Breakfast. We do offer one of the best breakfasts in Charleston. Very authentic, using farm fresh eggs and local ingredients. The courtyard itself is reason enough for a visit. We are fortunate to have a beautiful oasis in the center of Historic Downtown Charleston where we offer breakfast and dinner. We look forward to serving you again.

“# 1 in Charleston”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 1, 2012

My wife and I dined at the Grill for the first time a couple weeks ago and it won't be our last ! What a phenomenal dining experience . Our only regret is that we didn't dine there again before we left . We have eaten in many 5 star restaurants around the world and this is certainly one of the best.
The service was exemplary and by all means not at all intrusive. The sommelier was very knowledgeable and suggested a great wine at a reasonable price. The manager came over to make sure things were going smoothly and even poured some wine in our glasses as we spoke about our selection.
The food was over the top good and was presented in a world class manner . The atmosphere was elegant and not as noisy as many restaurants of that size . Try the patio if the weather allows.

“Superb Service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 31, 2012

I have dined at many a fine restaurants across the globe, and the service here out-shined any other. Whenever a course was served at our table of 8 the, what I like to call, tornado of service showed up and our table was swept clean of any sign of the previous course in a matter of seconds. It sort of felt like we were dining in one of the train cars in the Hunger Games. I digress. Get the banana pudding. The filet was cooked very well.

Thank you for such great compliments and the excellent review. Our service is meant to be very focused and unobtrusive. While I am delighted that you enjoyed the choreography of our service to your 8 guests, I am even more thrilled that we out-shined many of your other experiences dining "across the globe". We are passionate about our food, service and hospitality and glad that we made a memorable evening for you. We look forward to your next visit.

“We loved it!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 30, 2012

We waited 1/2 hour for the patio seating which was well worth it! The sounds of the fountains, the flickering gas lights shining on the foliage, made the atmosphere magical. The waiter was attentive, the food was exceptional, even by Charleston standards. Our only regret was that we didn't have room for desert. People shy away from this restaurant in fear of exorbitant prices, but I found their prices to be comparable to other high end restaurants in the area, while the setting and service may be superior.

I am thrilled that you were able to wait and dine in our courtyard. It is an oasis in the middle of Historic Downtown Charleston. We serve our amazing breakfast and dinner in the courtyard whenever weather permits. It features Chef Graham Dailey's complete menu and the same attentive service that Peninsula Grill is famous for. Thank you for the beautiful pictures and the wonderful review. On your next visit we will make sure to remind you to take a piece of our signature coconut cake home for dessert. Thank you!
