We chose Anson because we wanted a pleasant, good dinner. The food was very, very good. The atmosphere not quite what we expected. The restaurant was very noisy, and they first tried to seat us in "Siberia"- across from the bar and next to the kitchen exit which had no door so the patrons had to look at all the back kitchen activity. When we protested, they took us upstairs where we had to share our waiter's services with that of a very large group in several tables. Needless to say, the service we received was below par. Even though our server was very nice he just could not attend to us all.. The manager had to bring our food, and we had to pour our own wine. .We had a nice salad of locally grwon mixed greens and baby vegetables. It did not quite match the server's description but was quite good. Our grouper was excellent. All in all, cnsidering the prices, we would only return to this restaurant if we could be seated at a good table and be assured that they weren't short of waiters.
