“Liked it so much we went back twice!”
Reviewed July 1, 2014

Went and loved it...so charming and great energy. Wonderful menu with the freshest of ingredients, went for dinner and had a scrumptious meal and then again for breakfast a few days later...another winner. Everything is fresh, not fussy, well prepared and seasoned to perfection. Adorable spot, that is super popular, parking lot fills up fast!! Very popular with residents and tourists alike..it deserves all the accolades it receives.
Limited street parking, and its really located sort of in a off the beaten path location but so worth the trip...would go back in a heartbeat and wish we had a Hominy Grill in MY neighborhood!

“One of favorite Charleston Restaurants”
Reviewed June 30, 2014

Great southern and low country food at a good price- for Charleston. Breakfast - get there before it opens or wait in line. Great sides and entrees. Try their drinks while waiting for your table.

“Decent food”
Reviewed June 30, 2014

We had a party of 9 and waited at least an hour and a half for our table. After watching lots of groups of 2, 3 and 4 be seated, we were told they may not be able to seat us all together. We agreed they could split us into 2 groups. The food was okay, but nothing special. It was definitely not worth an hour and a half wait! One positive thing is they have a window where you can order something to drink while you wait.

“Southern flair w a twist”
Reviewed June 30, 2014

I've eaten here twice and enjoyed both the service and the food. We've tried 6 different menu items; chicken, shrimp and grits, picnic appetizer, pecan pie, biscuit and chicken and all were enjoyed by our table. Southern foods with just enough touch to make he elegant....try them for a treat.

“Southern comfort”
Reviewed June 30, 2014 via mobile

Walked from our B&B to the restaurant. A little bit off the beaten path but worth the effort. My wife and I shared the half fried chicken entree and a salad and as this is Charleston the single entree was more than enough. We also were given a bowl of boiled peanuts to await our mains. I liked the peanuts!
The split salad arrived and then our chicken, both delicious. The chicken was freshly fried, steam wafting above the plate as pieces were pierced or cut into. Crispy exterior, moist interior. I wish I was seated there now about to have dinner. Just writing about this meal makes my mouth water!
