While winding down an eventful vacation in Charleston, my lady wasn't interested in skipping lunch (my plan) so I went on Trip Advisor and soon discovered this highly rated eatery literally in the back yard of our hotel.
Five minutes later we walked into Kitchen 208. The interior was a bit spartan so we grabbed a table in the adjacent courtyard, which was somewhat crowded and pleasant despite the hot day. Everything on the menu was appealing and reasonably priced. We both decided to have the Sloppy Joe on Texas toast which turned out to be a very tasty choice. All orders are placed at the cash register inside.
I placed and paid for our order. Just seconds after I returned to our table someone delivered the sandwiches, which were served with a side of kettle chips and an okra garnish. Although the meal was a little messy to eat, plenty of sturdy napkins were available. The food was delicious and not overly salty. We heartily recommend Kitchen 208.
