“Great no-frills brunch place!”
Reviewed May 31, 2014 via mobile

We were looking for a place to escape the rain and ducked into Kitchen 208 just because it was nearby. What a find!

I got the Cobblestone breakfast sandwich based on reviews and it did not disappoint. The overeasy egg, glazed bacon, lettuce and tomato and fluffy bun was perfectly balanced and hit the spot. My fiancé got the smokey joe BBQ brisket sandwich on Texas toast which looked equally enticing. We were definitely very happy with the food!

Prices were very reasonable -- it was about $22 for our two sandwiches and two teas. Staff was also nice and helpful. I liked that it was a casual eatery - no tablecloths or snooty waiters. You order at the counter and they give you a number so they can bring the food out to you wherever you choose to sit. Would definitely come back again.

(Note: Breakfast/brunch hours in effect -- 7am to 3pm most days.)

“Cobblestone Breakfast Sandwich”
Reviewed May 29, 2014

This is such a tasty sandwich. The sugar bacon and lemon mayo make the sandwich. I highly recommend this sandwich to anyone wanting a good breakfast. They also serve this for lunch as well which is nice if I miss breakfast!

“Their Daughter suggested it!”
Reviewed May 26, 2014 via mobile

Charleston is a wonderful city and we love to eat! Our first stop has been a great seafood restaurant on Market Street. We had a lovely girl as our waitress who told us about a place her parents had just opened. Always looking to try something new we ended up at Kitchen 208 the next day for breakfast. Absolutely delicious! Great attention to detail. Loved the tea in the fabric bags! This years trip is coming up, we'll be there the first part of June & we're looking forward to trying out both breakfast & lunch there! Can't wait!

“Atlanta Transplant”
Reviewed May 24, 2014 via mobile

I live in Charleston and work downtown. There is plenty of good food, but not many casual "lunch spots" with great outdoor seating, quick service and healthy food choices. Kitchen 208 is firing perfectly on 2 out of these 3...great ambience and quick service. Where I see room for improvement is the food. Both the chicken salad and the shrimp wrap are pretty bland. We asked for a little mayo to try to add a bit of flavor. Suggestion: give thought to the seasonings you are using and enhance the flavor of offerings. Mayo is a poor substitute for herbs and spices.

“Neat little place!”

We had lunch here on our last day in Charleston...loved eating on the patio - everyone's sandwiches were so good! Had the grilled cheese and added bacon! Can't go wrong there!
