First time here, and have been looking forward to their signature lunch dish called Okonomiyaki. This is a Japanese inspired cabbage pancake offered with either egg, porky candy or bacon. I opted for pork candy, which was a finely slivered/shaved silver dollar sized dollop of delicious pork. The cabbage pancake filled up a plate, and was drizzled with several sauces, one with a hint of siracha, the other a white and creamy addition. The combination of all as served was the definition of Umami. Will have to try dinner and work my way through the menu

A great small place with a very limited menu. Spicy, flavorful food. We enjoyed the shaking beef, tempura fish, pork dumplings, and Chinese broccoli. Very tasty and very spicy!

Recommended by a waitress at the Obstinate Daughter. We went and had a glorious lunch before heading home. This is a super casual place, must be in a former gas station, tables inside and tables outside. Great staff, wonderful food. Delighted to be there. A must go for lunch and dinner.

We decided to give this place a try after reading a few Yelp reviews & then having our Air BnB hosts say it was one of their favorite places in the neighborhood. It was a great hang over cure & their cocktails were delicious as well. I would highly recommend the cabbage pancake with egg. We tried a little bit of everything on the menu between our group of 6 & would recommend everything. It was a great change from the Southern food you find almost everywhere in the city.

It's in an old gas station building with about 6 tables outdoors (mostly shaded) & some indoor tables as well. The service was great & our waitress enjoyed messing with us for being hungover, but was able to make great recommendations. One person in our party was allergic to sesame seeds & they were able to make accommodations for him.

From the outside it is hardly recognizable as a restaurant. But: it is all about the inside! And yes, this is a great place. Don't hesitate, just go. Trust on people who have taken the time to review this place. You won't be disappointed.

We had 3 random dishes, with white rice. Rice is described as 'sticky', well: that is no lie. Too sticky for me, to be honest, but what the heck. The food is delicious. Not spicy but tasteful.
