“SUCH a great time”
Reviewed April 7, 2014

Booked a 90 minute sail while my friends were in town and we had SO much fun. We are a talkative group- and Brian was such a great balance for us because he shared some of his knowledge about the historical buildings and islands in the harbor but mostly let us enjoy our sail the way we wanted to. He was polite, well-educated and gave us a relaxing sail. ASK for Brian.

“A Fantastic Charleston Sailing Adventure”
Reviewed March 16, 2014

Wow. This sail was a blast, definitely something my wife and I plan to do every time we go to Charleston.

We arrived a bit early, met the captain (Brian) and the other passengers, boarded the boat and shoved off without delay. After a few minutes of motoring away from the dock, we turn into the wind and raised the sail. As soon as the sail caught the sea air, Brian turned off the engine and we were off on our Charleston sailing adventure.

The weather was perfect. Within just a few minutes we spotted several pods of dolphin, all only 10 or 20 yards from the boat – it was really something to watch them play as we glided silently by. There were many other sailboats on the harbor, most were racing around Ft. Sumter. Seemingly all to soon our adventure was over (fun has a way of doing that) and we turned back towards the dock.

A few suggestions: bring a jacket as it is usually several degrees cooler on the water (a big plus during the summer), bring whatever you would like to drink during the trip (Brian has a cooler on-board), make sure to visit the facilities before the trip (no bathroom on the boat), and ask questions – the captain knows a good deal about Charleston and her history and seemed happy to share that knowledge.

We loved it and we WILL be back – we want to try the sunset sail and watch the city lights come up as the sun goes down – can’t wait!

“Welcome to Winter in Charleston Harbor”
Reviewed December 23, 2013

I took the Eco dolphin tour on the 1st day of Winter. It was a perfect day with great wind that pushed us around the harbor. We arrived early to find Brian, our captain, getting the catamaran prepared. He gave us the green light to hop on and start our tour 15 minutes early. Some would think that we would have finished early as well but Brian was gracious enough to sail us around over the 1 1/2 hour schedule. This gave us just enough time to polish off our bottle of Pinot Grigio.

The pick-up/drop-off location is great, minutes from downtown. You can also board the ferry for Fort Sumter before or after your sailing adventure. There is a supermarket nearby to fetch any beer or wine for the trip which is highly encouraged. Happy Sailing!

“Beautiful Sunset Cruise!”
Reviewed October 31, 2013

What a wonderful way to spend an evening is all I can say. I went to sailing camp as a child and had not been on a sailboat in many years so this was really an awesome adventure for me. My husband had never been sailing before and he too thought it was a wonderful time. If you want to wind down and really enjoy being in the harbor in Charleston this is definitely the best way to do it. The catamaran that Jeremy takes out can only seat 6 besides himself so it is a very small and intimate setting. They do offer private cruises as well if you prefer something even more intimate. Jeremy makes each cruise different and he sails to different areas, depending on the interests of the people on board. He is also very knowledgeable about the Charleston area, we learned many fascinating things. One of the other great bonuses about this sailing trip being on a catamaran is that it has an area in the front that is "trampoline" like material and you are given the chance to sit in that area. This is a great experience and you can really take everything in. I would recommend the prevailing winds to anyone going to Charleston! We plan on taking a day cruise the next time we make it that way.
