Having failed to find anywhere on our trek around the historic houses saw Whisk and whisked In!!

Small and trendy with a number of young quirky waitresses who know their trade and the "boss lady" sitting in the corner.

We had coffee and 2 wraps, my wife had the Tuna and I had the Waldorf, both were large and very nice. How nice to find a place like this when your feet hurt!!

Stopped in today for lunch and to get out of the rain. Great little place - seats 12. Sandwiches - chicken salad BLT and Hamtastic croissant - both flavorful and ample. Yes as another reviewer mentioned, service is on styrofoam plates - place is too small for a dishwasher so what do you do?? The berry tart was a very tasty finish to a lovely lunch. By the way, service can be fast or leisurely - your choice. Give this place a try. You won't be sorry.

Thank Jim B

My roommate and I needed a place to get lunch and study between classes. Whisk had its doors open, friendly advertizing, and wasn't overwhelmingly busy. The service was great, fast, and accompanying. The manager, whom we have met outside the bakery before, let us know of the new improved menu. It was simplified and to the point (not necessarily a good thing since we enjoy unique meals, yet everyone has different opinions). It would be nice to have outdoor seating here however Meeting street may not be the best location for that; despite this, it is an excellent location for a small bakery!

Island Granola came in a pre-packaged cup that they added water to. The table was dirty. Food came on styrofoam plates and one of the three pastries was cold, though we were asked if we wanted them warmed (we did).

On Tripadvisor, they advertised Turkish pide. When we asked at the cash register, the server was very flip. "What? Don't know what you are talking about." Then we asked the server at our table. She said that the baker had changed.

In the future, we will know just to get take out, not to sit down. Don't order the granola. Ham and cheese croissant (which came warm) was good; almond croissant (which was cold) was not. Almond torte (not sure of the name; server just said it was "almond" when we pointed to it) was shortbread encasing almond paste—pretty good. The ambience was just poor—tablecloth still with milk and oatmeal spills from the previous customers and styrofoam cups and plates?

Total pre-tax was $18 for sit-down for three pastries and granola. We left a $3.00 tip because we thought it was not the fault of the servers that the food and experience were disappointing.

Nice little place to relax. My wife and daughter and daughter got a cup of hot tea and a roll. They said that both were very good. The service was great and the place was very clean. The even had sandwiches; however we did not try one, they look very good.
