My family can't say enough about this place. The staff was wonderful. Accommodation and location was top notch. Church Street Inn is within walking distance to about anything you want to see or do.The only thing I missed from home was my pillow. Can't wait until we can book next October vacation.

Room Tip: Room 230 overlooked the courtyard. Very quite.

This was a great place to stay for our 4-day vacation. The full kitchen was great to have, especially with a small child, but a complimentary breakfast is not provided, so be prepared to fend for yourself the first morning. The Inn is in the middle of the French Market which is nice for killing time, there are tons of restaurants within 1 block (2 great ones across the street), and it's conveniently located 2 blocks from the water, 1 block from Meeting street, 2 blocks from King street, and 1 block from a Red Box rental, which we used a lot when the kid went to bed! Staff were really friendly, but parking is $20/day for valet at a nearby garage, and I guess you're supposed to tip each time they get your car, which is annoying. All in all, we would definitely stay here again if we ever come back to Charleston!

Room Tip: 1 bedroom apmt is larger than the suites

During a recent road trip we looked at options on Trip Advisor and chose the Church Street Inn and couldn't have been happier. It's right around the corner from the markets and a quick walk to East Bay street so you're in the heart of Historic Downtown. The rooms were clean, modern, and were an entire suite with full kitchen so it's perfect for a long stay. The most important value to us was the amazing staff. As per lack of planning, twice asked to extend our stay and both times Steve and the great staff played Tetris with their busy bookings to keep us into the same room. The staff was pleasant, courteous, and customer service oriented and I would definitely be staying here and recommending it to friends who visit Charleston.

The Church Street Inn is right in the middle of downtown, within walking distance to many attractions and events. The staff was very friendly. I felt the room we stayed in was beautiful with a king sized bed and small kitchen. The room was very clean and housekeeping was very accommodating. The only negative that felt was parking was not included and was very expensive, which it is any place in town.

I have to disagree with the negative reviews regarding this property! I have stayed at many timeshares, and would recommend this one to anyone who asked... We rented rooms 226 and 228, and could not have been more satisfied!
The place was in a perfect location, the staff were the friendliest I have ever seen... the 2 bedroom timeshare is to die for, so beautiful, you feel like a queen when you climb into bed at night.
I love the bedding, and pillows - best night sleep I have had in a timeshare!
We had early check in - and late check out...
As for the complainers - If they are going to be so picky that they need to vent online... well then maybe they should not go on vacation and just stay home and be miserable.

The Church Street Inn offers offers a fantastic location to walk about historic Charleston. Beyond that our standard room left much to be desired for the price point. The accommodations were cheap, the furniture worn and outdated. The bed was a double which did not work for us! On the positive side the room was clean. It had an up to date TV and the AC worked great.

One other note, we were unable to use valet parking due to the inability of the staff to drive a manual transmission car. I self parked to resolve the problem.

Overall, great location but not a great value due to the dated room.

Room Tip: Do not choose the standard room

This hotel is right in the middle of downtown Charleston with easy access to all events and attractions. It is in an old historic building with unique charm. The units used to be 1 bedroom condos so you have a full, but small kitchen, bedroom upstairs, 1.5 baths and a living room/dining room. I think some of the units have been renovated but ours had not. The old units are really in need of a total renovation but were comfortable and the king size bed was great! The location and the kitchen (we went to the grocery and stocked up on supplies) really make up for everything else. The staff was friendly and helpful. We love Charleston and this is a great place to stay.

Room Tip: South side rooms are quieter but the north side rooms have balconies that over look the market. Als...
