I must start off by commenting on the "made fresh daily" salsa that is served with the chips at this establishment. AWESOME!! I dined at this low key restaurant twice during my time in the Charleston area. That must be good since I went back, right? Both times I had the nachos, once with chicken, once without. Both were excellent though I preferred the nachos with chicken. The fabulous guacamole enhanced the flavor and of course adding some salsa just made the experience even better. I split a burrito with a friend which was fresh and delicious as well. If you are craving some Mexican food this is a place to stop and enjoy ~

Went for a dinner during the middle of the week and was surprised to see they were real busy and there was a line out the door. Must be good right? Not so much. I ordered two different tacos and a margarita. One taco was overly spicy and I could barely taste anything other than the spices and the other was bland and had under ripe tomatoes on it. The margarita was very poor and way over priced. Service is all on you and don't expect much from the staff once they get busy. After hearing several good reviews about the place maybe my expectations were just too high.

This is not a traditional restaurant: You grab a menu, order and pay then grab a table. Then you are served chips and salsa, then the meal is brought out. This is about as non-fancy as you can get, but the food is fantastic. Everything is homemade and delicious.
