We decided to have a special dinner on our last night in Charleston. We had walked by Eli's Table several times during our four day trip and thought it looked promising. The menu tempted us both so we called for a reservation. We were not disappointed.
The people who work at the restaurant were all warm and welcoming. Our server, Jasmine could not have been more intuitive. She knew when to be present and when to back away and give us some time. One of my pet peeves has always been feeling rushed in nice dining establishments. We told Jasmine we weren't in a hurry and that we hoped to have a drink and relax before we ordered and that's exactly what happened. The food was outstanding. The tender and flavorful braised lamb was close to falling off the bone. The salmon was equally delicious and the pecan pie with bourbon whipped cream was heavenly. I could go on but can sum it up quickly by saying, if you're in Charleston, make it a point to go to Eli's Table.
