One of my favorite restaurants in Charleston. The soft shell crab was really tasty. Truffle fries were tasty with the burger. The braised pork shoulder was AMAZING! The restaurant was a bit loud, but service was speedy and cocktail menu expansive.

This is the best restaurant in Charleston. Jeremiah Bacon's food is perfectly executed with an honest tribute to Southern Cuisine. Service is right up there with the food. The restaurant is a must for a visit to Charleston.

The McIntosh has has good nights and has deserved some good reviews, but last night will make us think twice about it in the future. Three of us (well dressed, local adults) stopped by for a beverage at about 5:00. The bar was about one-third occupied, and few tables were occupied. Nevertheless, it took almost 12 minutes for us to get the bartender to serve us. With so many otrher nice watering holes on Upper King Street, please patronize the ones with good service.

We had a few local beers at the bar while watching the Thunder game. The service was great and the atmosphere was nice. The food looked very good. We had already eaten but really enjoyed the bar at this high class restaurant. Try the local beers on tap.

Well the chef is lucky enough to have the coolest name in southern cuisine: Jeremiah Bacon...seriously. Food was exceptional. The "Mac attack" a decadent brunch item including bone marrow bread pudding, pork belly and poached eggs is actually better than it sounds (if that is possible). The only way it could be richer is if you added fois gras (which I would try just for kicks if it was my kitchen). The softshell crab blt was insane and you can't deny the burger is redunkulous, yes I just made up that word as it seems to only one fitting. You may ask "this guy eats a lot doesn't he?" First, yes. But actually this was multiple sittings on the same day as the food was so good my feet just kept walking back here. This will be a staple on each of our visits to charleston. Lastly, service was exceptional and the ambiance is modern yet old south all at the same time. Don't hesitate to book a reservation right now, "the Mac" will not disappoint!
