Owner description: Walks In History, LLC is happy to provide the Supernatural Charleston tour, the #3 ranked best ghost tour in the U.S. in Coastal Living Magazine in 2016 and Yahoo! News in 2017. Walks In History has the highest customer satisfaction rate on Tripadvisor of any supernatural tour company in Charleston for nearly seven years in a row, with Certificates of Excellence awarded by Tripadvisor every year since 2011. The Supernatural Charleston Tour begins at the ca. 1822 Old Citadel and ca. 1770 College of Charleston, two historic areas that mark two significant revolutions in American history that are revealed through light-hearted yet spooky documented stories of spirits in the Holy City. The Old Citadel (converted into an Embassy Suites) has been titled the 'Most Haunted Hotel in the South' according to Huffington Post, because of its murky inception tied to the persecuted and famed Mother Emmanuel (ca. 1816). The Supernatural Charleston tour meets in the heart of the historic peninsula, one of the oldest parts of the Holy City, Marion Square, where guests will also see the 1758 tabby rock defense wall, as well as the 1790-1810 remains of America's first city orphanage. Stories are based on the local bestselling Haunted Charleston first published in 2004, and now in its seventh printing. Historic sightseeing walks (without ghost stories) are also offered during the day per request and availability.

We EnjoyeD The ghost Tour. It Felt Like There Was More History Than Ghost Stories But Was Still Worth It. The Tour Guide Even BrOughT A Median With Him. We DId Have A Group Of Talkers That Spent More Time CHit Chatting Then Listening. The Guide Knew We Were All Annoyed And Took Care of The Situation.

This isn't your regular ghost tour where you walk around and some insanely boring old guy tells you ghost stories. Geordie's tour is entertaining and very personable. You can tell he truly loves his job which makes it all even better. He brings along Hope, who is a medium, on his ghost tours also. This is a great touch and is wonderfully entertaining. Hope everyone enjoys. :)

We have gone on both the Pirate Tour & The Ghost Tour & had Geordie as our guide each time. This man knows his stuff! He knows his town, it's history & has such an infective passion for what he does! He fills you with so much information in his inthralling stories making you want to spend hours talking to him & not just for his knowledge, but for his company. We will be doing more tours & then repeating them all we enjoy Walks in History Tours & Geordie so much! You will NOT be disappointed!

Beside Geordie being totally engaging in his ghost tales, the history of Charleston comes alive! I mean alive!! Sometimes on his tours he brings a medium along. And for those of you who don't know what that is, she sees dead people. For example, as Geordie discussed the history of Charleston's Orphanage, the medium was able to communicate with the children ghosts from long ago. The experience became so real for all of us on the tour. So, if you ever find yourself in Charleston, this is a tour you don't want to miss!!!
