my boyfriend took me to dell'z deli on a particularly hard day after a particularly hard month. the very design of the shop and the nature of the staff is made to perk someone up. with only 5 or 6 stools smack dab in front of the kitchen you have no choice but to interact with other customers and the staff behind the counter. instead of a con, this is most definitely a pro, as you get to actually feel and see the love and good vibes the staff infuse their products and enviornment with.
but enough about the scene and good service and on to the food! i ordered the tummy yummy mahi mahi for $9. it came out quickly despite multiple to-go orders coming in, and it was HUGE. i ended up making 2, almost 3 meals out of it. it has a lot going on but dell'z manages to balance the flavors and portions perfectly. the mahi was cooked nicely, the mango pineapple salsa superb, the other veggies fresh, and the spicy sour cream was kind of ahhhhmazing. i couldn't even begin to think about trying my boyfriends meal as i was so in love with my own, but he polished off his entire beach bum wrap in one sitting. he was stuffed but happily so.
i can't wait to go back and hopefully the juice bar addition rumor is true! if i lived downtown i would frequent dellz often~
