“Central Location; Efficient Operations”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 6, 2014

Centrally located - right across Marion Square diagonally. King Street is a block away. Market Street 5 blocks. Pleasant walk. Good restaurants are within a few blocks. Visitor Center is about 5 minutes walking distance. Location is very convenient.

Parking adequate - spillover parking lot is across the street. Front porch is a highlight - great area to relax. Standard Courtyard lobby and bistro food inside. Elevators efficient.

Good, clean rooms. View is ordinary. Overall efficient operations.

We were there during Spoleto Festival - hotel was booked solid - some weddings as well. Seemed a bit overpriced for amenites. Maybe due to the Festival weekend, the prices were on the higher side. Overall - recommended.

Nice hotel in a great location. Very close to Meeting and King streets. Not far from waterfront, aquarium, and numerous shops and restaurants. Great, friendly staff with a bistro and decent swimming pool. Rooms are spacious & comfortable.

We stayed here nearly entirely on the recommendations about the concierge. We were not disappointed. This hotel is in a great location - it is an easy walk to anything in the downtown historic district. The hotel itself is nice and more affordable than many of the other hotels in the area. If you want to drop the money on your hotel that is easy to do in Charleston, but this was very nice with parking and in a great location to actually get out and see the sites. As for the concierge, Andrea was great. She gets bombarded first thing in the morning at 8 and then again before dinner. Just plan accordingly and spend your time with her when you don't have to wait for others. She is a great asset to your trip - use her, but be respectful to her time and the other guests all trying to do the same thing! Overall it was a great stay - we would chose a Courtyard again as a result.

Perfect location for college visit. About 4 blocks to admissions office.

Concierge is top notch! Got us dinner reservations at restaurant that was booked when we called earlier.

Rooms comfortable and clean. Lobby is roomy with booths that have individual TV's. Kick back on front porch in rocking chairs. Great value!

My daughter and I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel. Unfortunately, it was only for a two day stay. After reading the reviews while driving there, we knew we had to see Kevin McQuade! Upon arrival, we were immediately impressed with the hotel, professional staff, but more importantly Kevin. After just a few questions, Kevin determined our interest and gathered we wanted to experience Charleston to its fullest! He recommended and made our reservations for lunch and dinner for both days, connected us with a true 13th generation Charlestonian for an impressive walking tour, directed us to great shopping, and most importantly made our trip unbelievably memorable by personally taking us on a nighttime walking tour of your beautiful city. Our two day stay in Charleston added to our previous six day vacation but made our vacation 2014 more memorable than we could ever imagine! Thank you Kevin, we can't thank you enough!

I see that others say the location of the hotel is not good, and I would have to disagree. Yes it could be better, but I thought it was great for the price. It is at the end of Meeting Street and the main district, but still right there. We stayed here for 5 nights and had no problem walking everywhere. The quality of this Courtyard was excellent - there is a great snack area to pick up drinks/snacks as well as a breakfast bar with quick breakfast to go (think Starbucks) as well as a sit down breakfast. The concierge is also deserving of his praise. We had a 2 queen bed room and it was very spacious - could easily fit 4 people. My only complaint was that the elevators were extremely slow, but otherwise I would definitely stay here again.

Great Charleston Experience. This hotel has great location, since it is walking distance to Downtown Charleston where the restaurants and shops. The personnel at this hotel is extraordinary. The hotel staff is super helpful and are great guides to make the experience extraordinary.
