Service was incredible. Staff was 2nd to none and the advice from Kevin the concierge was the best! He is tops! The wife and I went for our 25th anniversary and the recommendations from Kevin made extremely special. The hotel staff made us feel like royalty. Great location, easy walk to most attractions and sites.

We stayed two nights in a balcony room on the sixth floor this week. This hotel is centrally located within easy walking distance of King Street or Meeting Street but is a bit far to walk to Battery Park. Upside is the room was clean, nicely decorated with a large bathroom. We had a balcony and the view was really nice to view sunrise and sunset. The downside is in order to have a balcony you must have two queen beds. They do not offer a balcony with a King room which doesn't make sense to me. The parking is very tight and if you are a light sleeper don't opt for the balcony as you face the street and all of the noise but it didn't bother us. The other downside as with most Courtyard hotels is that breakfast is not included and the Bistro prices are high. For the price I paid per night I would expect at least a reasonably priced in hotel breakfast option. Beds are super comfortable and the staff are very pleasant and helpful. Concierge was very helpful as well in suggesting restaurants, tours, etc. She was extremely knowledgeable and offered many super suggestions. All in all a pleasant experience and I would suggest this hotel.

Room tip: Balcony is wonderful but does face the street so you get a lot of noise on that side.

This is a clean, comfortable, modern hotel. It is in a great location to shops, restaurants and sight seeing. The concierge is amazing--he gave us great things to do. We loved the walking tour he recommended and the restaurants and bars (he helped us get reservations to the "booked" restaurants!!). you do have to pay $16/night parking, which i didn't like, but most hotels charge for parking and you can come and go as you please. This was my 2nd time at this hotel and i would definitely stay there again.

Room tip: when you get there, you must talk to the concierge, Kevin McQuade

We travel a lot for pleasure and are Marriott Rewards members. We have been to Charleston several times and have stayed at several different places. Thought this would be a good choice based on reviews, but we're we cer surprised. We arrived very early and were advised that it would be a couple of hours before the room was ready, but that because of our Rewards level we were being upgraded. We wanted to walk around and do some sightseeing so we did't mind the wait. When we came back and got the key to the room we were stunned. We had been upgraded to an incredible suite.huge and very comfortable. We were glad we did our sightseeing early because the room was SOS nice we just wanted to hang out and relax.

The hotel is very attractive with very nice common areas, pool and courtyard. Elizabeth, the concierge gave us a great dinner recommendation. We felt very pampered!

My sister-in-law and I had a fabulous girl's weekend in Charleston and this hotel was the reason it was so successful! The location is ideal, sitting on Meeting St. and a block over from serious shopping on KIng Street. Our room was a large double queen with a large bathroom. All staff was kind and helpful and the concierge (Kevin) was the best. We really needed help planning our stay as to make the most of our trip and let Kevin work his magic! We did the Ed Grimball Walking Tour, a tour of Fort Sumter, a Gullah Tour with Alphonso Brown, and we spend time at Charleston City Market. I would highly recommend them all. Kevin also recommended great restaurants and two of our favorites are The Macintosh (try the Deckle) and Cru Cafe (ask to sit at the Chef's table.) Thank you to the friendliest staff and the most hard working Concierge, Kevin McQuade!!!!!

Room tip: Two queen size beds and a large bath made for a comfy room.
